Mahindra  |  A Journey In the Making

Mahindra has a deep and respected history.  In New Zealand, Mahindra's inspired and rugged off-road vehicles are developing a loyal following amongst a growing number of NZ farmers and agribusiness leaders for their dependability in the harshest and most variable of terrains. One such loyalist is Johnny - manager of Lilybank Station in the heart of the Mainland's Mackenzie Country.

The man..

Fluke Creative had the pleasure of roaming these landscapes during the more temperate months known to the region. Here they were welcomed in by Johnny, a backblocks specialist, whose day can be as variable as the topography and as unpredictable as the elements. His work is never done, but he'll always find time for a hunt, a fish, or even a tiki tour to the farthest outposts of his backyard when people call through.

the legend..

When function and size tip the scales toward colossal, farms in New Zealand become known as 'stations'. Lilybank Station is almost unfathomably vast, and while horseback still has its place romantically, practically speaking - Mahindra is Johnny’s real workhorse. Sure-footed responsive and dependable. Akin to its local, four-legged namesake, the robust yet nimble Thar model was thriving comfortably in its surroundings.
